so all these while i have been doing my self practices wrong. i realise that there are many good players out there and are beyond my reach. i do not understand why i took things so lightly when i signed up for my exam date in february until yesterday. i pulled my pants up and finally got the guts to ask a dear colleague to be my accompaniment for my grade 5 practical exam in euphonium playing. he has yet to give me a firm answer. i am still on the loop. on the bright side however, while we were at the topic of exams he explained to me a lot of techniques of a brass player, the vision and how he actually does his warm ups. i listened and felt so ashamed of myself because he has done so many fundamental things to be where he is today. he showed me his recital, and told me that i have to perform in front of all my other colleagues for constructive comments.
therefore, i have decided that i will keep track of my progress here. intense grind starts now.
today i only manage to complete an hour of self practice. felt really hungry as it's already Ramadhan so i have to stop and prepare to go to work instead.
