"the grass is much greener on the other side." this subconscious commentary that is almost fictional is getting out of control. as the days go by in Ramadhan, i slowly get to see the unfortunate blooming. you can't have the best of both worlds and those who gets it is just really really lucky. i guess it's time to allocate myself in that category.
at least my parents still talk to each other, even after the senseless bickering about the new tables and ceiling fans. at least they could reconcile after a few hours. i still have my parents. i still have a bed, a home to go back to after a long, challenging day at work.
i have a job that pays well. a job that i am really interested in. at least i have a job. and the best part about my job? i get to work with the love of my life. mondays, wednesdays and the occasional fridays.
and, i have a boyfriend. he makes me laugh when i'm stressed out about the littlest thing, makes the cutest of face when he needs my attention and doesn't speak when I'm around him having my tummy aches and cramps. needless to say, he's my one and only. at least i have someone to share my second life with.
with all that, why do i still torture myself? dear self, you are good enough.
dear self,
love yourself.
